Ever have one of those days where your self confidence takes a dive?foccused

  • Something didn’t work out as you’d hope – despite all of your hard work;
  • A prospective client who you know could benefit from your support – say’s ‘No’;
  • You didn’t get as many people signing up to your program as you would have liked, and the list goes on…

It’s at those times where it would be tempting (and so easy) just to walk away.

To just give up.

However, it’s in those moments that we CAN experience the greatest opportunity for learning – IF we allow ourselves to.

Here are 3 things you can do instead to boost your confidence and self-worth, the next time you feel like giving up:

1. Keep a success/celebrations journal

How often do we focus our attention on the things that went wrong, that didn’t work or that is hard. Well of course we start to feel hopeless and frustrated.

Start a success and celebrations journal and write in it daily all of the things you did that worked out well for that day (even if it was just one small thing) and had you focused and on target to reaching your Powerful Bold Goal.

The next time you’re feeling a little low to boost your confidence and self-worth – take out your journal and remind yourself of all of the things that ARE working well.

2. Start a testimonial and feedback folder

Every time someone makes a nice comment about you – whether by email, a shout out on social media, or a remark from a client during one of their sessions – write it down and put it in your testimonial and feedback folder.

Client testimonials can also be added to your folder too, and anything else that validates you, your work and the impact you are having.

The next time you start to doubt yourself – go and read through some of these comments and remind yourself of the impact you’ve had on these people’s lives by using your gifts, talents and Inner Brilliance.

See? You ARE making an impact, and will continue to do so with all of the other people and clients you are yet to meet and work with.

3. Take time to acknowledge your wins

Successes and wins, big or small – celebrate them all!

Running a business can be hectic – particularly if you’re a solopreneur with a limited support team. You’re rushing from one project to another – constantly juggling a multitude of tasks. And, those of us who are wives and mothers – this can add so many more demands to our schedule that at the end of the day – we’re exhausted.

It’s important to make the time to acknowledge your wins – no matter how small or trivial they may seem. Every single step is getting you closer to your goal.

I’m a firm believer that where you put your attention, energy and focus on EXPANDS. So, by focusing on your wins – guess what you will continue to expand? More wins!

At the completion of each project (or at the end of the day), make a note of:

  • What worked really well for you?
  • What are you most proud of?
  • What will you continue to do next time so you can generate a similar (or even better) result?

Write it down and remember to give yourself a big pat on the back!

You deserve it!

And, just in case no-one has told you lately – YOU ARE AMAZING!!

YOUR SAY:

So what do you think? Are you going to adopt all three? Are you using another technique to help you maintain your confidence and self-worth? Let me know in the comments section below – as always’ it’s great to hear from you!
