This is interesting. Linkin does not get near the press that facebook or twitter does but for business people seems to be as important/maybe even more important to be part of. I have just finished a book called Social Boom – How to master business social media. By Jeffrey Gitomer. Notice his title is BUSINESS social medial not just social media. He is very keen on Linkin to the point of saying that without Linkin being part of your mix facebook and twitter are less effective.

Thanks Louise – yes it seems that people on Linkedin are far more open to doing business. It is of course less ‘social’ than Twitter or Facebook, however people are certainly more in the mindset of doing business, developing JV’s etc.
As a former Career Coach one of the things I’d advise all my clients was that Linkedin was a must when building their profile and reputation.
